Dear PTA/PTSA Leader,
Seattle Council PTSA will host School Board Vice President Michelle Sarju (D5) and Director Brandon Hersey (D7) for a virtual community-centered meeting TONIGHT, Tuesday Aug 27, 6:30–8:30pm.
PTSA leaders, advocates, and community members from the schools listed below are invited and highly encouraged to attend. Somali, Spanish, and ASL translation will be provided.
Districts 5 and 7 have a strong history of connection and serve many of the same families. Despite the generational acedemic failure of students in these districts, families in D5 and D7 have been voiceless in decisions of change—lacking opportunities to be heard.
SCPTSA and the School Board are working to create a safe and gracious space for these families and school communities as a starting point for our 2024-25 engagement.
