Clean Heat Strategic Workforce Development Fund

If your company is already active in or interested in diversifying into the clean heat market, you may be eligible for workplace innovation support and funding from Scottish Enterprise.

Through the Clean Heat Strategic Workforce Development Fund, grants of between £5,000 and £50,000 will be available for companies to develop:

UK reaches 250,000 certified heat pump installations

According to the latest data from MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme), the UK’s quality mark for small-scale renewable energy installations, the UK has now reached 250,000 all-time certified heat pump installations.

Five local authorities in Scotland will share £300k of funding, which Scottish Enterprise promises will ‘pave the way for warmer, greener social housing.’

Moray approves first Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy

The first LHEES for Moray provides the basis for decarbonising heat in buildings and improving energy efficiency. There’s a legal requirement for local authorities to prepare, publish and review a LHEES and delivery plan every five years.

Vattenfall to connect heat network to Edinburgh town

Plans for the first phase of a £1.3 billion sustainable new coastal town at Granton Waterfront in Edinburgh have now been submitted for planning following extensive consultation.

Warm, energy efficient, family and wheelchair accessible homes will connect to a low carbon heat network, delivered by Vattenfall Heat UK Ltd.
