How do we recruit new members to the Society?

• send a personal invitation to colleagues

• post events/programming to social media

• plan regional meetups

• host networking events at other society/organization meetings

• and many more…. be creative!

The Society’s goal is to increase membership by 3% - which is only 80 people! Let’s promote health psychology through inclusive engagement!

APA Community was developed by APA as an online platform for members to build relationships, network, and collaborate within Division-specific spaces.

Join APA Community now with your MyAPA login at community.apa.org or with the app (APA Community)!    Find Division 38 under Groups and post on our live feed or start a topic-oriented discussion under Forums.  We look forward to hearing from you!

Division 38 membership is required (not an APA membership) to join the Society’s page.

The President-Elect and Board of Directors Member-at-Large Ballot was sent to the APA membership on August 1 and the election will close September 16.

At the recent APA convention, the Society for Health Psychology’s Executive Committee reviewed the statements and qualifications of all the candidates and voted to officially endorse Wendi Williams, PhD for APA President in the upcoming election.

The SfHP Executive Committee encourages all eligible members to consider the qualifications, experience, and goals of the candidates, and to vote in the upcoming elections. Video statement from all the candidates may be viewed here.

Thank you for your thoughtful participation!
