U of T Student Equity Census Data Dashboard

Update

The U of T Student Equity Census is a demographic data collection initiative that was developed to provide better insight and understanding of the U of T student community.

The data provides a snapshot of student demographic data across the tri-campus graduate and undergraduate student communities, and will be used to respond to the needs of our students and strengthen student recruitment to address and eliminate barriers within the university’s processes.

1. Trans and Gender-Diverse (TGD) Game Night

As part of U of T Queer Orientation, the TGD Gathering Committee will be hosting a social on September 24, filled with games, connections to resources, and more! All gender-diverse, gender-questioning, non-binary, transgender, or Two-Spirit individuals that are part of Temerty Medicine are invited to register.

2. TAHSN Project Assistant Work-Study

The Toronto Academic Health Science Network (TAHSN) is seeking a thoughtful, critically reflective, organized and committed work study student to fill the position of TAHSN Project Assistant.

3. DMP Faculty Mentor Application

The Office of Learner Affairs welcomes faculty members to apply to become mentors in the Diversity Mentorship Program for medical education.

The program matches faculty physicians and researchers with MD and MD/PhD students as well as first year residents who are members of underrepresented or marginalized groups.

4. Child Health and Well-Being at the Intersection of Racial/Ethnic Identity and Disability

The Bloorview Research Institute (BRI) is hosting a Research Rounds talk featuring Dr. De-Lawrence Lamptey, EMBARK (Empowering Black Academics, Researchers and Knowledge creators) Scientist, who will utilize the Canadian Health Survey on Children and Youth to examine various aspects of health and well-being at the intersection racial/ethnic identity and disability.

5. Early Bird Pricing: Climate, Health & Sustainable Care Inaugural Symposium

Fri Sept 13

The Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) is hosting a full-day event to strengthen our collective capacity to understand and address the health and health system challenges of climate change and the demands of sustainability.

Early bird tickets are $20 for students, and $80 for faculty, researchers, clinicians, healthcare administration.

6. 2024 BRN Welcome Social

The Black Research Network (BRN) Welcome Social is a chance for the network to ring in the start of the academic year, celebrate new faculty and reconnect. The BRN also announcing exciting updates about programming, plans for deepening interdisciplinary collaborations and key pillars looking forward for the network.

The event will take place at U of T Mississauga's

7. (Un)Mapping the Territory: An Indigenous Artist/Research Residency

Closing Sun Sept 15

Hart House and the Art Museum at the University of Toronto are inviting expressions of interest (EOI) for a year-long residency at Hart House to consider and uncover histories on campus from an Indigenous perspective.

Submissions for an EOI can be sent to maproom.harthouse@utoronto.ca.

8. Unconscious Bias 101: An Introduction for U of T Faculty & Librarians

The Toronto Initiative for Diversity & Excellence (TIDE) will be offering two in-person sessions this fall for U of T Faculty and Librarians.

The first session is a talk and Q&A to understand unconscious bias as an important first step to making structural and personal changes that support equity and inclusion

9. UTM All-Nations Powwow 2024

The second annual All-Nations Powwow is being held at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
