Get Involved with HPC Carpentry

As announced on our blog in July, HPC Carpentry has entered Lesson Program Incubation. This is an exciting step towards the project joining Data Carpentry, Library Carpentry, and Software Carpentry as an official lesson program of The Carpentries! That makes this a great time to get involved with HPC Carpentry: last month's blog post provided a helpful overview of the different ways you can contribute.

Exciting Updates from The Carpentries Task Forces

We are pleased to share the charters of two newly formed task forces, which are central to our ongoing efforts to enhance and refine our community’s resources and membership experience.

  • Membership Model Task Force

This task force is dedicated to evaluating and redesigning The Carpentries' membership model. The goal is to develop a sustainable and scalable approach that better serves our diverse community of member organisations. Read more about their objectives and scope in the Membership Model Task Force Charter.

  • Lesson Setup Instructions Task Force

The second task force focuses on improving the instructions for lesson setup, aiming to streamline the process for both learners and Instructors. This effort is critical in ensuring that our educational materials are accessible and easy to use across various platforms. Learn more about their mission in the Lesson Setup Instructions Task Force Charter.

We invite you to review these charters and follow the progress of these task forces as they work towards impactful outcomes for our community.
