Bomb Shelter Appeal

THIS IS A SENSORY ROOM, WHICH HELPS TO REDUCE ANXIETY AND SENSORY OVERLOAD IN CHILDREN.  IT IS IN A BOMB SHELTER, IN A WIZO DAY CARE CENTRE.  THIS IS HOW WIZO OPERATES TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN AND GIVE THEM THE VERY BEST.
BUT…………11 of our centres do not have a bomb shelter.  How do you manage to move 20 children to an external shelter in under 60 seconds? This is why we need urgently to build 11 more shelters and upgrade others. The safety of the children in our care is paramount. If we can’t keep them safe, we can’t operate.  If we don’t open the Day Care Centre, mothers can’t go to work, finances get tougher, stress and anxiety increase, mental wellbeing goes down. 
Remember the missiles keep coming and getting more vicious.

Thank you to all our members who attended shul for Shabbat Nachamu. It was wonderful to see so many WIZO ladies and to share in Bhodi’s simcha. Bhodi’s family supported WIZO by twinning his Barmitzvah with a boy in Israel, enabling a disadvantaged child to also celebrate his special milestone.


Mahjong

Glenys Swartz hosts a weekly Mahjong game with friends, and everyone contributes to WIZO  through their donations. Thanks to Glenys's efforts, they have collectively raised a substantial amount for this worthy cause. A big thank you to Glenys and all the participants for their generous contributions!
