Theory of Grand Action Design and Regulation
Floyd Barlow
In this class Floyd Barlow will present the theory / design of the grand action and how center pin friction plays a critical role in performance. We are taught to do all repairs and bed the keyframe before regulation. The result of your regulation work varies from piano to piano until you apply what is taught in this class.
Floyd began his career as a piano technician 33 years ago in southern Utah. To improve his skills, he attended many PTG conventions; to name a few: Pacific Northwest in SLC, Westpac, and National conventions. Most importantly, attending the local chapter meetings have proved most invaluable.
