Help us Greet Voters at the Metra Station on National Voter Registration Day - We need Volunteers

Hanover Park is the first stop, so we are looking for 3 hearty folks to be there by 5:45 am to pass out info cards and remind people to check their registration, and most importantly to vote on November 5th.
Roselle, Medinah and Itasca round out the schedule from 6:00 am to 8:00 am. We did this several years ago and it's a lot of fun! Looking for 3 people per station. Contact our Voter Service Chair, Roberta, at roberta.borrino@gmail.com with any questions.

Septemberfest was a Success!
We had another successful Septemberfest, thanks to our volunteers Michele and Bryen, Laura B., Dottie, Roberta, Donna, Susan W., MaryAnn and Tony.
Donna chaired and created an event plan. Diana coordinated and created a non-partisan version of Election Bingo which she and Donna plan to formalize for future affairs. Lots of folks played, and we included an educational narrative about the terms when there was interest.
We made many community contacts, pushed Pink-a-Palooza, signed up a few folks to receive more information, and got our name out in a positive way. Many thanks to all who helped!
Ever wonder how the Illinois judicial system works or how to research judicial candidates? The LWV Elmhurst and the LWV Glen Ellyn recently co-hosted a judicial forum with the Honorable Bonnie Wheaton and the Retired Honorable Thomas C. Dudgeon.

Our League is pleased to provide VOTE411.org, the nonpartisan election and voter education resource. VOTE411 is a “one-stop shop” for election information that provides voters with simple, accessible tools to help voters navigate the voting process. VOTE411 provides personalized candidate information, voter registration details, polling place locations, and other helpful election information for voters nationwide. In time for early voting, voters in our communities can review the races and candidates on their ballot and learn where candidates stand on the issues.
Look for ballot details to be published on VOTE411.org the week of Sept. 26. Visit the site to make a voting plan and be prepared to cast your vote confidently on Election Day. Share this resource with your friends and neighbors! Every LWVRB member who wants a sign is entitled to one - we will be passing them out at events this fall or you can email Roberta.Borrino@gmail.com and one will be set aside for you.
