K-State Research and Extension will be hosting a Farm to School Procurement Webinar series starting on Monday, September 30, 2024. We encourage school staff or administrators, producers, or community members that want to support Farm to School to attend. It’s a great way to support you schools and community!
Nationally, the Farm to School program helps child nutrition program operators incorporate local foods into school meals and a wide range of related nutrition programs, including early childcare settings. However, Farm to School isn't just about farmers selling to local schools. It also can include school gardens, agriculture education, and other curriculum connections related to nutrition and agriculture.
