News and Announcements
Near-Term Central Campus Space Planning Update: On the first Thursday of each month, we will bring you an update from the Near-Term Central Campus Space Planning project:
Space in Alumni Hall will be renovated for academic use, bringing the departments of Philosophy, Education, and Computer Science and the Entrepreneurship program under one roof. They will occupy space vacated by University Advancement and University Marketing and Communications, which will move to the University Corporate Center.
Voting in the 2024 Election: There are several different ways that students can vote in North Carolina. If you are unsure of your current voter registration status, it’s quick and easy to check your status online.
Starting Thursday, Oct. 17, One-Stop Early Voting begins in North Carolina and continues daily until Saturday, Nov. 2, at 3 p.m. During this time, you can register and vote at any early voting location in Forsyth County — Locations will be determined at a later date. See the OCCE website for everything you need to know in preparation for one-stop early voting.
For individuals wishing to vote in person on Election Day in North Carolina or who wish to request an absentee ballot in North Carolina, Friday, Oct. 11, is the Voter Registration Deadline.
For individuals looking to vote absentee in the state of North Carolina, Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 5 p.m. is the last day to request an absentee ballot. Absentee ballot regulations vary by state; students who wish to vote absentee in their home state should reach out to their local board of elections to get information on their state and county’s process and deadlines.
Homecoming Royalty Applications and Voting: Graduating Seniors, applications for Homecoming Court is still open on The Link. Submit your application by Monday, Sept. 9. Voting for the 2024 Homecoming Royalty will begin at midnight on Tuesday, Sept. 10, and end at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
Graduate and professional school students should see their school/program calendar on the Calendars page of the Registrar’s website.
It is the responsibility of the student to be familiar with academic dates and deadlines; not knowing about a deadline is not an excuse for missing one.
Study Abroad Fair: Thursday, Sept. 19, in Benson 401 from noon-4 p.m. This event showcases Wake Forest semester, summer and short-term abroad programs as well as affiliate abroad programs. Talk to WFU Study Abroad advisors, faculty and affiliate representatives about the program you are interested in applying for!
