Nonpartisan League documentary screening at the Pembina State Museum

PEMBINA, N.D. - The public is invited to attend the screening of “The Rise and Fall of the Nonpartisan League” at the Pembina State Museum on Saturday, Sept. 14. Free screenings of “Part 1: We’ll Stick, We’ll Win” will begin at 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Runtime is 60 minutes. Pop and popcorn will be available for sale in the Museum Store.

This Prairie Public Broadcasting film unravels a compelling chapter in the struggle of farmers. In the early 1900s, North Dakota farmers were determined to control their own economic futures. Under the leadership of Nonpartisan League founder A.C. Townley, farmers involved in this small protest movement took control of both houses of the state legislature within two years.

This screening is the first in a three-part series. The second and final parts will be shown in October and November. Learn more about the Nonpartisan League in the North Dakota Studies topics at bit.ly/SHSND-NPL
