Register to Write GOTV Postcards to Voters in our Area
Thanks to the success of the "Campaign to Safeguard Democracy," the LWBIL has supplied 1,000 Get Out the Vote postcards for us to mail to voters in our area.

Members and friends, join us for one of three postcard-writing parties. We will write a personalized note encouraging the recipient to use the QR Code to learn about the candidates, and most importantly, to VOTE on November 5th! And we will hand-address each card.

RSVP using this form: https://forms.gle/75Fsn9Lpvrqcaams6 and let us know you are coming and when! BYO a beverage and snack of your choice. Bring a sheet of postcard stamps if you'd like to help even more!

  1. Thursday, Sept. 12 from 5-7 pm at Barb Hochstadt's home (350 Lakeside Dr, Roselle). We'll have snacks!
  2. Monday, Sept. 30 from 5-7 pm at Joan Richards' home (54 Chelsea St, Bloomingdale). More snacks!
  3. Saturday, Oct. 19 from 9-11 am at Panera Bread (370-420 W Army Trail Rd, Bloomingdale). Roberta will be there with baked goods!
Prefer to write cards at home? Dottie and Joan will deliver postcards as well as full instructions starting September 16. Send Joan an email at joanrichards74@gmail.com to arrange.

National Voter Registration Day

We will be greeting morning commuters at several area Metra stations on Thursday, Sept 17 in observation of National Voter Registration Day.

Hanover Park is the first stop, so we are looking for 3 hearty folks to be there by 5:45 am to pass out info cards and remind people to check their registration, and most importantly to vote on November 5th.

Roselle, Medinah and Itasca round out the schedule from 6:00 am to 8:00 am. We did this several years ago and it's a lot of fun! Looking for 3 people per station.
Contact our Voter Service Chair, Roberta, at roberta.borrino@gmail.com with any questions.
