September is here! We are blessed with some beautiful weather. We have had an excellent hay season which allows us to feed animals all winter long with the same consistent hay they are used to all summer. What an amazing good part of the earth the Lord allows us to be in. Many cattle operations have to buy hay from others or irrigate their pastures to produce a quality forage. The cycle of here of rain and sunshine grows the most beautiful hay.
The Lord continues to put Amanda outside of her comfort zone to learn new things and be brave in order to steward the land and animals. We had so much hay production this year that we had to get a new larger flatbed trailer which loads and carries about 15,000 pounds of hay at a time. I felt like an 18 wheeler truck driver!
Dan is so fun to watch running the tractor, he makes it look easy and loves to teach. The cows hear that John Deere fire up and start bellowing hoping he is bringing them chow.
