| | | | | | New Beginnings in Technology: A Stroll Through the Pyramid of Digital Needsby Giovanna Salvagio, for RECIT AGE
As September welcomes a new academic year, educators find themselves at the cusp of fresh beginnings, brimming with optimism and the promise of new opportunities. However, this period can also bring a sense of overwhelm with many tasks and responsibilities that accompany it. In this context, embracing technology can be a game-changer, providing tools and frameworks to optimise processes and leverage educational practices. This article presents the “Pyramid of Digital Needs,” a structured approach to understanding and addressing various stages of technological proficiency. By navigating through this pyramid, educators can meet their digital needs and contribute to a more innovative and collaborative educational environment.

| | | | | | Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!By Miriam Furfaro
I hope you all took the time to rest and recharge and are ready to face the new school year. I recently came across this saying “August is basically a marathon at a sprinter’s pace” and it really resonated with me, as we always hit the ground running when coming back from summer holidays.
For those of you who were not aware, last January 2024, the CSSMI hired me as the new national mandate professional for the Anglophone SARCA network. The French sector already had someone in place, however the need for the same type of service on the English side was imperative.

| | | Webinar: Culturally Integrated Storytelling: Empowering Diverse Clients for Life Transitions
Storytelling is perhaps the most time-honoured form of communication. More often than not, our first professional encounter starts with an invitation: “So, tell me about yourself” yet many of us are not equipped to tell our story to someone unfamiliar with our culture. How can career practitioners, especially those working with diverse populations, equip their clients with the knowledge of storytelling and support them in navigating not only the process of their job search, but also their life transition?
The series aims to empower practitioners by providing a comprehensive understanding of storytelling’s profound role, with a specific focus on pivotal aspects during significant transitions. It will prepare career practitioners with practical skills to guide clients through storytelling nuances, fostering self-confidence and preserving cultural distinctiveness.
