October Roundtable

Our October RT is again on the second Thursday of each month. We moved August to accommodate our Lodge 80th Anniversary and Summer Super Fellowship, but we are back on track now!

We will meet this Thursday, October 13. In our continued effort to move the RT location to allow more of you to attend, this RT will be held at T-307's Scout Hut - Saxe Gotha Presbyterian - 5503 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington. We will begin at 7pm.

This month, we will discuss:

Continued recruitment efforts
Upcoming Rechartering
Fall Family Fun Fest

More than just WHAT is being discussed, though, come see WHO is discussing it. So many of our Roundtable events are great times to put faces and names together, make new contacts and just learn more in general. Come meet someone new and see some of your old friends too! Everyone is welcome at a RT!

We will hold an In-person Tschitanek Woakus chapter meeting Thursday, 10/13 @ 7:00 pm. We will meet during the Chinquapin Roundtable at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian (5503 Sunset Blvd, Lex).

Fall Family Fun Fest

Icehouse Amphitheater - Downtown Lexington

After an incredibly successful event last year, we are in need of your unit's help! As a district, we need to show our community how much fun there is in Scouting! This free event is intended to showcase Scouting displays, games, and skills, as well as offer food and fun for youth of ALL ages in an effort to encourage families to join the program we all enjoy so much!

We need your unit to set up:

A display highlighting your unit and/or scouting fun, and
One or two fun activities and/or scout skills!

We need at least two adults and a few youth from your unit to demonstrate these fun scout skills and/or games! The more our community sees youth having fun, the more likely they are to join Scouting!

There is no cost for the event and food will be provided at no charge, but we do need to know which units are able to attend by Wednesday, November 2nd, please. Please email Chip Payne (Payne.Chip@gmail.com) to let him know if you're able to help!

Leaders,

We need your help. Each year, we recognize volunteers at the District level for a number of potential awards. While none of us serve for the awards, it is great to recognize leaders for their exemplary work. Thanks to a number of factors, we are once again overdue for our traditional recognition, but we are absolutely going to celebrate the hard work and service of our 2021-22 leaders!

In an effort to make nominations easier, please use this form (found on our District website) and submit any nominations for those serving from last summer through this Spring. These nominations are done online and are due by November 1.
