The Race Equality Committee of ELA has organised a free webinar to take place on Wednesday 12th October 2022 from 5pm until 6:30pm.
This is a webinar for sixth form students and undergraduates, principally targeted at those from ethnic minority and socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, aimed at improving knowledge of, and access to, a career in employment law.
Students will hear from a panel of speakers including Employment Judge Balogan, Mohinderpal Sethi KC (Littleton Chambers) and Shantha David, (Head of Legal Services at UNISON) about their pathways into the law and every-day life as practising employment lawyers. The speakers will answer key questions including:
- What is an employment lawyer?
- What different careers are available within employment law?
- How do you become an employment lawyer?
- What is a typical working day for an employment solicitor, barrister or judge?
