Highland Park Water and Wastewater Improvements Project

Construction is Still Halted to Address Conflicts with Existing Utilities

Work on the project is still halted due to conflicts with existing gas/telecommunication utilities. The project team is working with utility owners to have these conflicts resolved before our contractor can install the new water and wastewater lines.

It is expected to take about 4 to 5 weeks before the crew will mobilize again to complete the remaining outstanding work. Once we get closer to getting back onsite, we will provide a newsletter update on where the crew will start their work.

If you have questions about this project, please feel free to contact a member of the project team below. We look forward to completing the necessary utility improvements in your neighborhood.

Project Overview
The Highland Park Water & Wastewater Improvement Project is constructing a second water line to feed into the area. The project runs about three miles from Far West Blvd. to Crestway Dr. with much of the work being done along Balcones Drive.

Water line breaks are well documented in this area, and the existing 12-inch line is a dead-end and not connected or looped with other water lines. The new 16-inch line will improve water service and fire protection in the area and allow for the decommissioning of an antiquated pump station and reservoir located on Ridge Oak Drive.
