AK 11 / Aasgard "Unto Heretic Flames" CD

If you are like us, then you miss the days of old when black metal delivered sincere to the cause music that was resonant with dark philosophy and grim atmospheres. You are in luck because this split would have been a fitting release alongside many classics from the second wave of demo tapes and CD releases of the 90s. AK-11 unleash 4 tracks of fast and violent black metal inspired by second wave bands like GORGOROTH, ENTHRONED, or DARK FUNERAL and with their own fire and approach to the sound. To complete this diverse and interesting split AASGARD offer 4 tracks of raw and grim black metal that is reminiscent of the demo days of bands like THE BLACK, THA-NORR, or FIMBULWINTER. Raw and minimal with corrosive dynamics, style, and intent.

De Vermis "Black Wolf Pride" CD

Frozen Blood Industries (NZ) has bestowed upon us some of the last remnants of their limited release for New Zealand's DE VERMIS. "Black Wolf Pride"  is growing increasingly rare, as these are the last copies by what was the only black metal in the Waikato region for quite a while! Delivering hateful black metal, cult as hell, bleak and wretched. The wolves of New Zealand will rip your soul with the most grim, barren, and isolating black metal that exists from down under.

Setronah "Drifting Belief" TAPE

SETRONAH is a strange and eclectic black metal entity from New Zealand that offers a demo that is far away from the modern approach. "Drifting Belief" is a raw and misanthropic force that will take you to a similar musical realm like that which was inspired by early ISENGARD, yet SETRONAH are a bit more raw and hermetic in atmosphere and sonics. Aphlemic who is SETRONAH will drag you through his soundscape labyrinth full of chaos, despair, and harrowing unhinged chants. For those who worship early wave isolationist black metal.  Not for tourists!

Skluldom "Faecesekiel" CD

SKULDOM are arguably one of the oldest and most extreme metal bands from NZ existing since 1998! Utterly notorious, unforgettable, absolute weaponized extremity. Using only bass, drums, and unique grim vocals! These ingredients are whisked together creating a high speed whirlwind of sonic satanic darkness of the highest order. Do not be fooled, this is done well and SKULDOM grind out hateful extreme metal that will suit the tastes of those seeking raw, pure, sadistic metal! Similar in nature to bands like SADISTIK IMPALEMENT, BEHERIT, or a black metal version of MORTICIAN (considering the bass driven sound). This latest release from them is arguably their best, and they have been blasting since before most. SKULDOM stands upon the podium of some the most extreme NZ metal of the last century.

Vargafrost "Warriors Of The Dawn" CD

Heathen Black Metal from New Zealand. Their time has come and they are armed to the teeth, take heed the heathen battle cry of VARGAFROST which reverberates of atmospheres inspired by the likes of old ENSLAVED, TAAKE, ISENGARD, or GORGOROTH. The battle cries are shrieked and their enemies do not stand a chance. This demo is an epic and transcendent work of art that really stays with you. Memorable and to the purist quite original while keeping true to the old flame set forth by the aforementioned entities. An excellent release that will be adored by the old guard black metal worshipper.

Winter Deluge "Devolution - Decay" CD

WINTER DELUGE profoundly plays vicious and triumphant Black Metal which presents an aural strike upon mankind. "Devolution - Decay" is the second album from the Auckland New Zealand based band. Elevated and slightly more sophisticated in their musical style, however similar in potency, to their debut album "As The Earth Fades Into Obscurity". WINTER DELUGE unleash a war like style of Black Metal on "Devolution - Decay" that is relentless while maintaining a memorable, harsh, warlike atmosphere. Familiar in approach to their brethren countrymen DAWN OF AZAZEL or DIOCLETIAN and swirling with a violent ANGELCORPSE inspired feeling of rage and violent intensity. Injecting excellent guitar leads, sick blasts, and brutality into their music that is most pummeling. WINTER DELUGE deliver a hybrid blackened death metal that is ferocious and worth your attention.
