We just want to send some reminders of things to have on your radar this coming week.

Classified Staff: 3 options for meetings

Our Classified Unit is preparing for their own bargaining! Now that we have two bargaining units in our union - one for Certificated and one for Classified staff, it’s time to elect a bargaining team, representatives, and officers. We are inviting all classified staff interested in these elected roles (or who just want to find out more about the union) to a series of info meetings, both in person and via Zoom. We know our classified staff work a wide range of schedules - from before and after school, during school days, and at night! - so have been holding a variety of meetings at different times.

Community Info Meeting: Next Monday

We just sent this invite to all families who have signed up for our emails. We have been holding periodic community info sessions to connect with families and community members to keep them informed on the progress of bargaining, what staff are still fighting for at the bargaining table, and how to support. This is also an important opportunity for families to ask questions and share their concerns. Our working conditions are our students' learning conditions, and we are all invested in and impacted by what staff are bargaining for.

Getting questions from families about the union? Have a personal connection to a HTH parent or family? Please pass on the invite and encourage them to follow us and sign up for our updates! (While we cannot use school communication channels to share union info with families and we cannot initiate conversations during school time, we can always respond to parent questions!)

Site Meetings: Stay in the loop!

Stay connected to your site rep! After our rep council last week and a town hall with the bargaining team on Friday during All Staff Day, your site rep will be holding site meetings and checking in individually to follow up on some important decisions (and get some important feedback!) Make sure you watch for info from your site rep and stay connected with them! Not sure who your rep is? Reach out.
