Dear <<First Name>>,
The last two years have been challenging, but as we emerge out of the COVID-19 pandemic we are thrilled to be having in-person events once again. Each year the Society hosts a welcome event for its new cohort of Fellows, giving them the chance to connect with one another and learn more about the Fellowship and the Society. I would like to invite you to join us this year for the following events:
FRCGS onboarding session and induction ceremony
On behalf of all the Fellows of the Society and the team at the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, we are thrilled that you will be joining our distinguished College of Fellows. Please join us on Wednesday November 16th at 10am at 50 Sussex Drive in Ottawa for a special Fellows onboarding session. This is your chance to meet other Fellows, learn more about the Fellowship and take a tour of Canada’s Center for Geography and Exploration.
Following the onboarding session, we invite you to make your way to the Alex Trebek Theatre (at 50 Sussex Drive) for the Society’s medals ceremony at 11am. During this ceremony you will have the chance to hear from RCGS Honorary President, Chief Perry Bellegarde, and the Society’s incoming president. RSVP by Friday November 11th using the link below: rcgs.org/welcomefellows
College of Fellows Annual Dinner
After a two year hiatus, we are excited to welcome our Fellows back to Ottawa for the Society’s College of Fellows Annual Dinner. It is a time for our Fellows to connect and join together in celebration of the physical and human geography of Canada. Join us on Wednesday, November 16th at 6 pm at the Canadian War Museum, Ottawa, for the Society’s most important event of the year. Visit rcgs.org/fellowsdinner2022 to buy your ticket(s) and use the code “Fellow20” to get $25 off your ticket price.
