Entries Sought for Gingerbread Competition at Chateau de Morès State Historic Site

MEDORA, N.D. – Entries are being accepted for the Fourth Annual Gingerbread Competition at the Chateau de Morès State Historic Site. Entry forms are due Wednesday, Nov. 12, by 5 p.m. MT. The competition is open to ages 5 and older and will showcase gingerbread creations in the following categories: Kids 5-12; Teens 13-17; Adults 18 and up; and teams of two or more.

Gingerbread creations are due Thursday, Dec. 1, by 4 p.m. and will be on display Dec. 2-Jan. 13 at the Chateau Interpretive Center. Vote for People’s Choice awards Dec. 2-4, either in person at the Interpretive Center, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., or anytime on  Facebook.com/ChateauDeMores. Winners will be announced on Facebook Dec. 4 at 3:30 p.m. MT. 

For entry forms and registration information, contact Anna Killian, akillian@nd.gov or 701.623.4355. Funds raised support the educational mission of the Chateau de Morès site, including funding summer programming and assisting with the purchase of educational materials. 
 
The Chateau de Morès site and Interpretive Center near Medora is managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota.
