River's End Redwood Bar Makes
Top 10 HWY 1 Waterfront Bar!

"There's something about sipping a drink while gazing out at the ocean that makes us feel like we're on vacation - even if we're only a few miles from home. (Ain't that the truth?)  RRCOC member River's End Restaurant and River's End Inn had their Redwood Bar make a top 10 and both the Restaurant and Inn featured recently in Sonoma Magazine.

SCT proposes to expand Business Impact Assessment to all lodging; Board seeks input from small lodging businesses regarding impacts

The change would expand this assessment to lodging businesses-including vacation rental owners-currently who have previously been excluded. This would expand the assessment which equals "2% of room revenue" to impact approximately 3800 of the County's smallest lodging businesses (those generating under $350,000 annually), while generating approximately $2.1-2.5M in additional revenue that Sonoma County Tourism uses to promote and market to increase overnight visitors to the County.

A public meeting will be held on November 1 to discuss the proposal, and a public hearing will be held December 13 to consider written protests (to be filed by 5 pm December 12), or made in person.
