Family storytime is back every Friday beginning October 14th with a special Firefighter Storytime! Join our librarians for stories, songs, and rhymes while exploring new books as well as old favorites. Each session is limited to 25 people.
Storybook Pumpkin Patch
October 14th – 31st
Dr. Sylvia Maxson Children’s Library
Decorate a pumpkin as your favorite storybook character to plant in our patch in the Dr. Sylvia Maxson Children’s Library. Think of a favorite book and design your pumpkin based on your favorite character from that book. Decorate your pumpkin without carving, cutting, or poking holes in it. Halloween Storytime

Join us after Trick-or-Treat Downtown for a special drop-in Halloween storytime. Stop by in your costume, enjoy snacks, and a story with our librarians in their favorite costumes. We’ve got spooky stories, sweet stories, and everything in between.

Heartstopper Day – Born for This Book Release Party

Celebrate the Heartstopper universe of author Alice Oseman with a craft, prize drawings, and snacks. We’ll have copies of the newly released book, Born for This (both to checkout and win), as well as a grand prize drawing for a collection of Alice Oseman’s books.

High School Haunted Art and Cosplay Tips
Thursday, October 27th 4:00 – 5:30 pm

Join librarians and guests to geek out together over books, make a crafty creation, and talk about tales and stories over beverages and pizza.
