I. UCSF: virtual parent support group for their children with brain injury

1. This is a great resource because it is facilitated by a pediatric neurologist and a pediatric neuropsychologist.

2.
The flyer says "childhood brain injury" but this group is open to any parent whose child has had a brain injury - no matter their child's current age)

Thanks to SB 803 legislation passed in January 2021, work completed as a Peer Support Specialist can be reimbursed/compensated by Medi-Cal! To read requirements (hours + exam): CLICK ME

III. Currently, the largest NIH study on adolescent concussion is happening at UCLA (and in Seattle, Washington DC, University of Texas, Wake Forest, Rochester)

  1. ELIGIBILITY: 11-18 years old and had a concussion in the past month

  2. Two in-person visits and participants can get paid up to $210 for their time along with a comprehensive report
