Arts Warehouse Spotlight

Meet Leslie Neal and True 2 You

Leslie serves as Founder of True 2 You LLC. A candle studio and fragrance blend bar nestled in between great local art is what makes True 2 You so special. Neal has experience in candle making for more than 20 years, starting as a hobby to focus on her own self-care. Beginning her career in K-12 education, and later obtaining her Masters Degree in Education, she has served in higher ed for 15+ years. Teaching and collaborating with others runs deep in her veins.

In 2021, Neal decided to bridge her love of creating, entrepreneurship, and teaching into developing a business. “What other way could I follow my passion and know I was being true to myself?”, she shares. That thought is what ultimately inspired True 2 You LLC. The candle studio features candle-making parties, wholesale candle partnerships and mobile/virtual candle blending. The location is ideal for girls nights out, date nights, mommy/daughter days, team bonding events, conferences and more. Candles can be manufactured for events, retail custom branding, weddings, gifts, and beyond. True 2 You LLC also has their own line of affirmation candles sold online. Stay tuned for their new product launch in November, just in time for the holidays.

Our Countdown to Giving Tuesday
Begins November 1st!

End-of-year giving is right around the corner, and Giving Tuesday, which will take place on November 29th this year, will bring back this global day of radical generosity.

Reimagining a world built upon shared humanity and community collaboration, the movement seeks to inspire individuals to donate time, knowledge, funds, and resources to make the world around them a better, kinder place. In the spirit of this movement, we believe that the arts can make a difference too…It can connect people…Promote greater understanding…Foster feelings of belonging…Create opportunities for peaceful expression…and so much more!

We have big plans for the Village Arts Factory in 2023! All next month our social media pages will share glimpses of our vision, stories of our successes, and opportunities for you to help us do even more good for our community. We hope you’ll open your eyes, your hearts, and your pocketbooks, supporting our efforts to build accessible spaces and programs that educate, entertain, inspire, and unite the beautifully diverse residents that call Canton home.

Arts Warehouse Transformed into Safari Adventure!

A critical component of our mission is to make art accessible and approachable to children of all ages and abilities. During our first "Fall Into Art" pop-up on September 30, kids were invited to participate in a safari scavenger hunt, searching the art gallery for the different animals (and humans!) displayed in Nick Bair's "Animals and Art" exhibit. Completed scavenger hunt forms were rewarded with a bag of delicious animal crackers. Notice the extra large jar of animal crackers in the picture below. Can you guess how many crackers are inside? Many of the kids came close! See below for the answer. Look for more kid-friendly activities at the "Fall Into Art" events taking place throughout the month of October. Extra scavenger hunt forms and crayons are available for visitors at the main entrance of the Arts Warehouse. Come and enjoy the exhibit!
