Community Arts Event –Images of Peace Posts
Hopkins Hollow Peace Posts

Saturday, October 8th, 10am-2pm
Banner High School, 4675 N 35th St.


Hopkins Hollow is our name for the wild and natural area along Lincoln Creek, east of Hopkins Avenue.

This special event is designed to engage people from the community and our friends and partners who have helped us make this an urban environmental learning space. Come and add your artistic touch to the Hopkins Hollow Trail. 

Internationally renowned Ceramics Artist Muneer Bahauddeen will be leading the project. These Peace Posts will be the entrance to the trail that neighbors helped to build.  Sign up here.

This person will be part of a team that gets kids outdoors, learning and having fun in nature. Youth Educator - Paid Intern
We are seeking a college student or person 18 or older to assist our lead Youth Educator in leading kids in learning and having fun in nature.  Should have an interest in youth and nature and some availability during school hours.  Reach us at Contact@nearbynaturemke.org.

Lincoln Creek Greenway Workgroup Coordinator
We are hoping to find a community activist from the Lincoln Creek Neighborhood who will help us to manage this project.  We hope this ground-breaking project will bring about a comprehensive work plan for the improvement of the Lincoln Creek Greenway.  Project management and community engagement experience especially helpful.  Contact@nearbynaturemke.org

Nearby Nature Salary and Benefits. Generally, staring pay is in the $18-22 an hour range, depending on education and experience with room for advancement.  Full time employees get paid vacation, sick/personal days, and holidays. Our interns earn a minimum of $15 an hour.

Emily Ford, the first Black woman to hike the 1200 mile Ice Age Trail in winter. Program begins at 5:30 with a 30 minute documentary film of Emily's trek Followed by a presentation by Emily.
