Picture Day
Smile! Picture Day for our 3s, Pre-K and Kindergarten classes will take place next week.
Thursday, October 13th: Red, Rainbow, Yellow
Friday, October 14th: Blue and Kindergarten
You will receive the proofs by November 4th with information about how to order. More information can be found here. The Green 2s will have their pictures taken in the Spring.

New Staff Spotlight
We are excited to introduce you to our new Inclusion Director, Gwen Fiske. Gwen is a pediatric therapist, and has a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She owns her own pediatric therapy practice in Evanston, and enjoys working with children and their families to facilitate children’s development. In her role as Inclusion Director, Gwen works with SLC teachers and families to determine the best way to support children at SLC, and to facilitate a successful preschool experience for all children.

Hispanic Heritage Month
Did you know that SLC has a Book Room!? Kathryn, Isabelle and Anne keep it organized and up to date with current titles for the teachers to check out books. This month Isabelle has highlighted books for Hispanic Heritage Month for the staff! A few titles include Marta! Big & Small by Jen Arena, Me Gusta by Angela Dominguez, and Hello, Friend/Hola, Amigo by Andres Salguero.
