Funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Equity & Belonging Newsroom Transformation program will embed consultants in newsrooms to assess the organization’s internal processes, analyze cultural dynamics and help establish core workplace values of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
The pilot program will take place in 2023 over a five month period and each news outlet will receive coaching to create the strategies, plans, benchmarks and training to implement these values.
