Interested in Research to Boost Greener Healthcare Globally?

Then you should join this first open forum with Nordic Research Network for Sustainable Healthcare (NRNSH)!

The forum is an introductory event to the network, centred around the topic "Sustainable healthcare as a research area globally".

NRNSH was recently launched with the mission to increase research, innovation and research education in sustainable healthcare – within and between the network partners – as well as to inspire the international research community. Founding partners are us at NCSH, Chalmers University of Technology, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Lund University and Malmö University. Read more about NRNSH.

Speakers include Göran Lindahl (Professor, Division of Building Design, Centre for Healthcare Architecture at Chalmers University of Technology), Jodi Sherman (Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Associate Professor of Epidemiology in Environmental Health Sciences at Yale School of Medicine), Gunilla Westergren-Thorsson (Professor of Medicine at Lund University Bioimaging Centre) and many more.

Enhance Your Understanding of Sustainable Healthcare

22 November

A half-day to provide you with overarching knowledge: How can you work with sustainability, the environment and corporate social responsibility in healthcare?

Gain insights into waste, transportation, chemicals and other crucial environmental issues for increased sustainability work in healthcare. As a participant you have the opportunity to address issues related to your own area of work and responsibility.

Date: 22 November 2022

Time: 13.00–17.00 CET

Location: (Hybrid) Zoom or on-site at our Malmö office (Södra Promenaden 51). Do you wish to participate on-site? Send an email to Felicia Hedetoft (felicia.hedetoft@tem.se) with the title "Training Sustainable Healthcare".

Cost: Free of charge for all members in TEM's networks (NCSH and CSR Skåne). Others: 150 EUR excluding VAT.

10 October – 10 November

Become a pilot learner and an NCSH member, all in one!

Our network now has the unique possibility of accessing the online course "Sustainability in MedTech Design" and gain a European certificate in MedTech for free. All we need from you is your feedback after testing the training.

Register to take part of the pilot learner offer HERE. The pilot will be open from 10 October to 10 November.

The course is self-paced, meaning you can complete it independently at any time during the day. You can freely choose to follow one or more of the three learning paths (in total 7,5 hours maximum), depending on your personal and professional interests. For each path, you will receive a free certificate (please note that from January it will be chargeable).

Happy First Birthday to the World's Greenest Hospital!

One year has now passed since the launch of Grønnköpingkið

Since the platform went live, the interest for sustainable healthcare has simultaneously increased exponentially on a global level. This accessibility of green solutions could therefore not come with better timing.

In the summer edition of Europe's market leading business journal 2022, Grønnköpingkið was lifted as a key way of accelerating sustainable healthcare. Read the article written by NCSH on page 34–35 here.

Medical Science Festival 2022 in Bologna
The Grønnköpingkið concept and its green, innovative solutions were presented in front of an international audience of 400,000 registrants.

A twin for the Mediterranean region: Virdea
We are excited to announce the birth of a twin platform to Grønnköpingkið, by the name Virdea. This hospital will be run by our Italian partner and focused on solutions for the Mediterranean region's healthcare sector.
