The Results are In!
Electronic ballots went out for the first time this year (and a few paper), allowing us to have our election results nearly as soon as the balloting window closed--Thank You to David Wabel, our Board Treasurer, for managing the balloting process from start to finish!
We are excited to announce our new Board members, and to express our appreciation of the additional commitment to our organization and the community taken on by these members. We look forward to having their participation, input and contributions to elevate the Chamber's ability to support our community and member businesses throughout the Russian River area. We sincerely look forward to working with each new member.
From our President: "A big thank you to all who voted in our election over the past two weeks. We had an amazing roster of candidates and are lucky to have such a great group of dedicated business owners. We really appreciate them stepping forward to help the Russian River Chamber of Commerce and our business community. Their experience and dedication will be a big help in the coming two years. Please congratulate our new board members!"

Sonoma County Tourism and Sonoma County Parks partner with Leave No Trace for New Toolkit
In early 2021, Sonoma County Tourism and Sonoma County Regional Parks entered a partnership with the national Leave No Trace organization to develop a county-wide responsible recreation initiative to help mitigate environmental impacts in area parks, preserves, and other outdoor recreation locations. Part of SCT and Regional Park’s partnership with Leave No Trace involved the development of a Sonoma County-tailored version of the Seven Principles. The Sonoma County Leave No Trace Seven Principles were revealed last summer, and our hospitality partners immediately stepped up to incorporate its messaging in reservation confirmations, websites, and other channels.
Sonoma County Tourism, Sonoma County Regional Parks, and Leave No Trace are delighted to now offer our partners, land managers, and other stakeholders new tools to help magnify these important messages, with the Sonoma County Leave No Trace Coalition Toolkit. This toolkit contains both digital and physical items free to access and order below. If you have any questions regarding the use or procurement of these materials, please email communityengagement@sonomacounty.com.
