Everyone is Right

We have a lot of conversations where we think we are right and the other person is wrong. We try to sway the other person into being "right" like us.

In reality, everyone is right.

What I mean by this is everyone has come to conclusions based on their life experiences and accrued knowledge. If we understand this heading into a conversation, especially a potentially difficult conversation, we can save ourselves from a lot of frustration.

We get in trouble when we label ourselves and "right" and others as "wrong". When we start from this place, we're fighting an uphill battle that is destined to fail.

But if we head into every potentially difficult conversation with the attitude that everyone is right, or, if it pleases you, nobody is wrong, then you take away the competitive, confrontational aspects of the conversation that lead to frustration (or worse).

Everyone is right in their own eyes. Let's start from this place and save ourselves a lot of stress.

Make it a great day!
