Oberammergau "What if?"

Online and In-person at Eastminster Campus - 310 Danforth Avenue

Rev. Dan recently attended the Oberammergau Passion Play in Bravia as part of his study leave for 2022.  The Passion Play has been hosted by the Oberammergau community every 10 years since the 1600's! Join us this Sunday online and in-person at Eastminster Campus as Rev. Dan shares the story of the Oberammergau, the Passion Play, Judas and Hamlet.  What if? What if Hamlet met Judas?

We welcome EEU's Music Director, Stephen Ermel, starting with us this Sunday!
We'd like to take this opportunity to introduce Stephan Ermel in his own words:

Stephan Ermel is a music director, musician, and educator. He received his Associate Diploma in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music and his Advanced Diploma in Theatre Performance from George Brown College. Currently, Stephan is the Vocal Music Instructor at George Brown Theatre School and Resident Music Director at YES Theatre in Sudbury.

When you see Stephan, please take a moment to say hello and let him feel a big East End Welcome!
The Ve'ahavta Project: Sunday November 6th, 1pm - 4pm
Eastminster Campus
Register by next Friday, October 21st!
You, your family and friends are invited to participate in a deeply meaningful day of hands-on volunteering. The DJC is partnering with Ve’ahavta to raise funds and make blankets and food for people living on the streets. Our activities will take place at Eastminster and are suitable for all ages. This is your chance to be a safety net for people who don’t have one. With your help, those who don’t have someone to help them – a family member, a friend, or a community – will receive the critical supports they need. Join us and hundreds of other volunteers at various locations across the city! Donations are welcome, but not necessary to participate. Teens who register can receive credit for volunteer hours.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of religion. While DJC is partnering with Ve’ahavta, we are also inviting our multifaith partners in the Danforth Multifaith Commons and the East Toronto Multifaith Community.

The Program: We’ll gather together for a livestream and welcome from Ve’ahavta, including some interviews with clients, and then move into blanket and cookie-making and wrap-up.  Register here: Registration Start Page - The Ve'ahavta Project 2022 (akaraisin.com)
