This week: We begin at 12:45pm with ~3 of your requests.
The teaching program begins at 1pm. We continue at 3pm with ~8 more requests,
finishing the session at ~3:30pm
The request list cycles through the dances taught within the last year.
The dances with the most requests make it on the program.
Make sure your voice is heard. Please send in a few requests!
It would be great if the requests reflect the desires of our entire group.
Any requests that do not fit, will be saved for a
future all-requests (includes some reviews) session.
Registration is open for our 4th in-person Retreat weekend. It will have dance workshops for both beginning and experienced dancers, and lots of opportunities for fun and socializing. We will be asking for volunteers among those attending to teach dances on the weekend. Other activities will likely be bird watching, group walks, a sing-along including rounds and ethnic songs, and a talent show.
On Saturday evening will be a dance party with Savoir Faire and Balkanski Melos. They are a team of 7 musicians, based in Vancouver, who will play a variety of dance tunes ranging from set dances to Balkan, and including Israeli and French.
There is space for about 50 dancers in Camp Alexandra. The entire weekend including accommodation and meals is $190 with lots of part time options.
