Property Tax Relief for Small Businesses and Non-Profits a Possibility
A great opportunity for the incoming Municipal Government:

A new, municipal-led property tax rate flexibility will give municipalities the tools to support small businesses and non-profits struggling to pay high property taxes because of future development potential. 

Some areas of BC have experienced increased density to accommodate for growing population. This has led to significant property value increases in recent years and caused a raise in assessed values and associated property taxes for some businesses. 

Through this new measure, municipalities will have the ability to identify what types of properties or areas in the community are being impacted by high density development potential, and provide relief to commercial properties that need it most.

Winners of The Growlies
Art Crawl October 21-23
Sunshine coast art crawl October 21 to 23

‘The Crawl’ showcases artists on the entire Sunshine Coast from Langdale to Earls Cove or Earls Cove to Langdale. We are excited to present 169 venues and over 240 artists October 21 – 23, 2022.

Over the 3 days, the ‘Coast’ transforms into one large interactive art show. It is a celebration of displays, demonstrations and it provides an opportunity to meet the artists behind the amazing creations.
