With the large volume of spares that are now on the spare list, we have decided to close the spare list for this season this Sunday October 9 @ Midnight, no new spares for this season will be accepted. 

     It has been brought to the leagues attention that there is some players that are quite increasingly vocal and for extended periods of time towards the officials. This is not acceptable behaviour and the team reps have been reminded of the 'abuse of officials' portion of our constitution: 
"A Minor penalty shall be assessed to any player or team official who challenges or disputes the ruling of an official during the game or who displays unsportsmanlike conduct. If the person persists, he shall be assessed a Misconduct penalty and any further disputes will result in a Game Misconduct penalty being assessed to the offending player.
3.2.4 GAME MISCONDUCT FOR ABUSE OF OFFICIALS:
● 1st Offense - Remainder of Game - Automatic 3 games.
● 2nd Offense - Remainder of Game - Automatic 5 games - Appear at League Executive meeting for “Show Cause” hearing. Executive decision - eligible for appeal."
So this email serves as a reminder to all players to please respect the officials. We also realize that we need to ensure our referee group maintains a solid effort and level of professionalism during the games as well. 

     As such, two changes have been made to help us maintain feedback and to further clarify the leagues position on this with the following:

1) A league wide feedback form will be available for players to submit feedback regarding game officials to the league. It is our hope that this is used to supply constructive feedback/criticism (use the 24 hr rule!) as well as use it to let the officials know when they are doing a great job too! 2) Rules amendment, as voted on October 2, 2022. The following amendment has been voted into the constitution effective immediately. 

"2.18.5 SUPPLEMENTARY DISCIPLINE FOR ABUSE OF OFFICIALS:
A player who is assessed penalties for abuse of officials in more than 1 game in a season shall be assessed supplemental discipline:
          A) Abuse of Officials Minor penalty assessed in two separate games, one season - reprimand from League Executive.
          B) Abuse of Officials Minor penalty in three separate games, one season - reprimand from League Executive plus automatic 1 game suspension. Eligible for appeal (see section 3.5 for appeals process)
          C) Abuse of Officials Misconduct penalties in two separate games, one season - reprimand from League Executive plus automatic 1 game suspension. Eligible for appeal (see section 3.5 for appeals process)
          D) A player's second suspension for abuse of officials is an automatic 5 games with an appearance at a League Executive meeting for “Show Cause” hearing to assess for supplemental discipline.  Executive decision eligible for appeal (see section 3.5 for appeals process)"
