BLACK FAMILY DAY!
Join us this Sunday for the 16th Annual Black Family Day, held outdoors at 1700 O'Farrell and Fillmore Streets in San Francisco from 2-7 PM. The event by Brothers for Change will also present an appreciation award to Thomas Robert Simpson, Artistic & Executive Director of AfroSolo Theatre Company, in addition to honoring the 50th Anniversary of the Black Fire Fighters Association. The ceremony will take place at approximately 4 PM.

"Brothers for Change honors brother Thomas Robert Simpson for his tenacious determination and dedication to serve our community through the arts since 1994. Seeing Thomas' growth and commitment to our community has been a pleasure to witness."
- Erris Edgerly, President, Brothers for Change

I humbly thank Brothers for Change for this honor and recognition. It encourages me to continue our efforts to educate, uplift, and inspire our community through the arts. This honor is a delightful gift taking place during my birth month and reminds me of how the AfroSolo Arts Festival began as a birthay celebration, now in its 28th year. I hope to see at the awards ceremony on October 9th at 4 PM.
