Connecting to our neighbors, God, and the land, using sustainable agriculture to meet local hunger needs

"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers."
-L.M. Montgomery

Hi Folks.  Welcome to the beautiful days of October.  I hope you are enjoying them.

Our Garden days are growing shorter.  So far this year the garden has yielded 5,074 pounds of produce for local food needs.  And there is more to come.  The fall garden can produce cabbage, collards and many greens.

We did have some storm damage last weekend.  The winds blew off the plastic from one of our new beds.  Also some of our okra and tomato plants went over.  We are planning a workday for this Saturday to help restore things so please come out a while if you can.

With the end of summer our Wednesday harvests have ceasesed.  Thank you, Janice and Wednesday people, for your faithful work.
