Dear SCSF Member,

It is that time of year again when people start to think about investing more in their 401 K’s, Roth IRA’s, SEP IRA’s and the list goes on. We are asking you to consider a different type of investment this year, an investment in the future of our skaters. As a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, any donations made to SCSF are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Each one of the skaters you see above has received funding from the SCSF over the years to assist with their training expenses.  

Each skater had to qualify to compete in the upcoming 2023 Pacific Coast Sectional Singles Final, which The Skating Club of San Francisco is hosting, and that takes a lot of time, determination, hard work, and funds. 

Funding to skaters helps offset some of their expenses. And that funding comes directly from donations made to the club from people just like you. All donations go directly, or indirectly, to athlete support through the various support programs which we offer. The SCSF provides you with a donation letter for tax purposes as well.

And, your donations allow us to host events such as competitions, or the annual Gala, which raise more funds for our skaters who have gone on to compete nationally, and internationally, representing SCSF. We’ve even had a member represent us twice at the Olympics! And, your donations help make it all possible. Who will be our next champion? Will it be your child?

So, when you are considering your year end investment strategies, we encourage you to think a little closer to home and seriously consider making a donation to the SCSF. You’ll be greatly helping out the skaters. Think of it as an investment in their futures! They’ll be glad you did; you’ll be glad you did; we’ll all be glad you did!
