New Funding Opportunity from WA RCO

Need help planning for a park, trail, or playfield, check out this new Planning for Recreation Access fund from WA Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO). This new grant program prioritizes diverse urban neighborhoods, small rural communities and those new to RCO. Applications are due November 14.

Seattle Forest Week
October 22-29

Seattle Forest Week, a week-long volunteer initative coordinated by the Green Seattle Partnership, is a celebration of the Urban Forest. The week includes a variety of activities including planting, forest bathing, bird & plant walks, and more. Below are examples of events you can choose from - use their website to learn more and register for events near you.

  • Seattle Arbor Day at Be’er Sheva Park
  • Tree planting, mulching, and litter removal 
  • Children’s activities and seedball-making
  • Bird walk with Seward Park Audubon 
  • Intro to Forest Bathing with Cascadia Forest Therapy 
  • Free Mulch at the Atlantic Boat Ramp (bring your own container)
