Electric Powwow is Sunday!

Celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day with BAAITS and these weekend events in the Bay Area!

In honor of the Indigenous Peoples' Day, join us to celebrate with an Electric Powwow, on Sunday, October 9, 2022. An Electric Powwow is not an actual powwow, rather a celebration of contemporary indigenous music, art and culture (and not to be confused with our annual Two-Spirit Powwow being held in 2023). We will be showcasing the Indigenous Marketplace with our vendors, Two-Spirit story time, exhibition (drum and dance), mini-drag performance, free bingo game and DJ.

The Electric Powwow will be held at Fort Mason Gallery 308 in San Francisco, 10:00am-4:00pm. Join us!

Monday, October 10: San Francisco's Indigenous Peoples' Day Celebration

Join us in celebration of San Francisco’s Indigenous Peoples Day on Monday, October 10, 12:00-3:30pm, at Yerba Buena Gardens with Native American art, music and vendors. The program highlights the vastly diverse and talented community of Indigenous artists in the Bay Area, California and beyond.

Bay Area American Indian Two-Spirits (BAAITS) is an all-volunteer organization that exists to restore and recover the role of Two-Spirit people within the American Indian/First Nations community by creating a forum for the spiritual, cultural and artistic expression of Two-Spirit people. To that end, BAAITS is committed to offering culturally relevant activities for LGBT individuals of Native American ancestry and their families and friends.
