A message from the Board

October is here, winter is fast approaching, and in the Board, we are focusing on planning for 2023. So please help us by responding to "The Big End of Season Survey". the 5 to 10 minutes that it takes to respond give us valuable information on what you want to happen next year.

We will be holding the AGM in February, if you wish to volunteer on a committee or join the board reach out to the Valberedning.

As this is the last newsletter for the year we hope that you take advantage of all there is to do in the Swedish winter - whether ice skating, snowboarding, cross country skiing or just cosying up to the fire with a cup of warm chocolate.

SportAdmin

It is one year since the club migrated to SportAdmin as the management platform for the club. This has streamlined the administration within the club, so board members can think more about delivering cricket and less on bureaucracy.

Naturally for players and parents there is an App to make your life easier too. In the app you can see:

News items and communications
Membership Card and offers from Sponsors
Achievement Badges

End of Season Parties.

The annual end of season party for the Junior Section will be held on 6-November, in Hagersten (south of the city).

The annual awards dinner for the seniors, including Old Boys, will be held later in November at the South Indian Restaurant on Södermalm.

Details for both of these events will be shared via email, And don't forget to RSVP by responding to the Kallelsle in SportAdmin.

Valberedning

Development of Stenhagens BP
With support from Cricket Sweden and Klaraviken, we are continuing our development of our training facilities at Stenhagens BP with the addition of a batting cage. This means from spring 2023 all the teams will be able to train more frequently and effectively in the north.

Inaugural Stockholm CC Golf Open
The first golf event was held on 25-September to bring together past and present members of the club. Congratulations to the winner - Andrew Oldfield.

Swedish Cricket Federation News

Here is a quick round up of news from the Swedish Cricket Federation.

There will be an extra general meeting of the Federation on 19-November in Umeå. This is to elect a new (temporary) board after the vote of no confidence in the last extra general meeting. Ayyappa will represent the club at this meeting.

The impact of having continued extra general meeting and negative communication on social media and in emails is impacting the relationship with RF and ICC, where Federation and actions of its members is not seen to follow the common values of these organisations. RF will be reviewing funding levels and Crickets' membership. ICC will be auditing Sweden.

The Leydy, the new League and Events Manager for SCF, has now started. She has initiated work on improving the player transfer process and has started collecting information from clubs to prepare for the league forums planned to be held in late October.
