See the message below from the science center. We will be sending them a combined response as to how many people we will have in attendence. We are looking to see if the Veterans Day parade in Pittsburgh fits into the schedule with the science center event.

As you know, Carnegie Science Center is hosting a Veteran’s Day event on the USS Requin on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2022. I would like to invite you and your guests to a special ceremony to thank you and all our veterans for selfless sacrifice and enduring service to our country as a member of the US Military.
 
Join Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey, County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, other elected officials, and Veterans from all branches of the armed services at Carnegie Science Center on Friday, November 11 beginning at 2:30pm for a brief ceremony followed by light refreshments. You and your family also can enjoy a self-guided tour of the USS Requin (SS 481) submarine and complementary admission for up to four people that day at Carnegie Science Center.
 
It would be our honor to host you. Please register by Friday, November 4 so we can plan appropriately with refreshments. Also, we would like to encourage as many attendees as possible, so please share this invitation with other current or former members of the U.S. Military who might attend. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you.
