Bristol Parks Forum Meeting Sat 15th October 2022 9.30am

The agenda for our meeting on Saturday is now on our website at www.bristolparksforum.org.uk/meetings/

Thanks to Friends of Eastville Park, the meeting will be held at Eastville Park Community Hub (The Nissan Hut), this is at the top end of the park near the bowling green, tennis courts & car park.

As you may have seen in the press our meeting comes at a time when the Council’s budgets are again under pressure. Given the national political situation, this is something that is unlikely to improve in the short or medium term.

The fact that Parks are not a statutory service means that it is even more important that Park Groups and others let Councillors know how important our Parks and Green Spaces are and argue our case strongly against further budget cuts to the Parks Service.

We would like as many groups as possible to be represented at this meeting.

The meeting is also our AGM. As we have said in past updates, we need new voices on the committee – this is an opportunity to influence City wide decision making which will impact on all parks across the city.

If you are considering joining our committee and would like to know more about what is involved please email us or talk to us at the meeting. Please also pass this message on to anyone else in your group who might be interested.

Rob on behalf of Bristol Parks Forum Committee
