GHS Beautification Day, 10am-noon

Hello Whirlie Family!

As I sit and write this weekly note I am outside enjoying this crisp fall morning. Fall is my favorite season. We are finally saying good bye to the NC summer heat, the trees get to show off their colors, and the crispness in the air is refreshing.

With the new season falling into place, our Beautification Committee has scheduled another workday to give our campus some sprucing up. Please join us on Saturday, October 15th, from 10 AM - 12 PM. Students can earn service hours, and many hands make for quick work. You don’t have to have a green thumb to help. Palmer McIntyre and her team have that covered.

Hope everyone has a great week. Thank you for all you do to keep Grimsley beautiful!

Diane Creech

GHS Beautification Day! October 15 from 10am-12pm
Current students and families are invited to help plant trees, shrubs, and bulbs, and to install edging and clean up campus. Lunch will be provided after we are done! Service hours are available. Bring yard tools, trowels (for bulbs), loppers and clippers. Check the Grimsley Parents Facebook page for weather updates.

Virtual College Prep Planning Session - October 19, 6pm-7pm
Join University Prep Tutoring for a one hour session on how to prepare for the college application process. Our host, David Sullivan, has been working with students over the past 10 years, helping them prepare their college applications, study for standardized testing, and master their high school math courses. He is the founder of University Prep Tutoring. His son and daughter recently graduated from Wake County public schools and are both currently attending college. Register here.  After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
