Dear Whirlie Family,

Grimsley/Page week is finally here, and it is always an exciting week.  The Student Council has planned fun themed days for spirit week (see below).  We will have Project Graduation Doughnuts at dismissal on Thursday and a bonfire Thursday night after our home JV football game against Page starting around 9PM.  Finally, we will have the Varsity football game Friday night at Page High School. Tickets for the Varsity football game will ONLY be sold in advance on gofan.co.  There will be no tickets sold at the gate.  I would encourage your student to go ahead and purchase their ticket before the event is sold out.  Please, also, refer to the letter that was sent home with students from Mr. O'Donnell regarding the expectations and code of conduct that is always expected but will be highly enforced this week: Grimsley Page Week 2022.docx Please encourage your students to keep this rivalry week positive and fun.

Project Graduation (PG) is a drug and alcohol free social event and carnival-like celebration that has been in existence for Grimsley seniors since the class of 1991. Although it has morphed over the years due to circumstances, the premise behind it is still the same. We want to provide a safe but exciting environment for Grimsley's graduating seniors to celebrate their achievement with their fellow classmates. The event includes prizes, games, food, fun and entertainment.

In order to host a successful event, we reach out to Grimsley families as well as to the surrounding business community for donations and support, and we also host fundraisers. Toward that end, we hope you will consider supporting this great event for our seniors with a monetary donation or through the purchase of one or more dozen Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts.

Purchase doughnuts by the dozen AFTER SCHOOL in front of the main gym on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 20 while supplies last. The cost is $10 per dozen. All proceeds will benefit Project Graduation 2023.

You will be hearing more about PG and opportunities to support it throughout the year. If you would like to make a monetary contribution, please reach out to Debbie Yoder at dmbyoder@gmail.com or text to 336-317-0055.

I hope everyone has a Whirlie Pride Week - Go Whirlies!!

PTSA President
