Blackpool certainly got more than a look in on Strictly's launch show!

The opening shot of the entire programme was of The Tower before even more majestic footage of North Pier and The Ballroom as pros Dianne Buswell and Johannes Radebe did their thing.

There was also no shortage of the B-word being mentioned verbally by judges, celebrities or hosts either:
- When asked what she was most looking forward to this series Motsi Mabuse wasted no time by responding first with "Well I mean we're going back to Blackpool yessss"
- EasterEnders actor James Bye sees making it to Blackpool as his personal milestone as he believes this is "the dream" and it would allow him to put "dancer" on his CV
- Claudia Winkleman asked "Is it too early to talk about Blackpool? with Tess Daly's reply being "It's never too early!"

It is clear that Strictly have missed us just as much as we've missed them and as such I do hope you'll joining me in promising the cast and crew that in and around Saturday 19th November we'll make sure that everyone is more than well looked after.
