For many students, particularly those who have grown up in the church, faith and belief is something that has been handed down from their family… their faith is the faith of their parents. Confirmation is about students declaring for themselves who they are and what they believe.
Confirmation is a series of conversations for High School students to establish a foundation for their faith, practice spiritual disciplines, learn the responsibilities and benefits of being a church member, and develop relationships with our church leaders.
At Central, High School students prepare for Confirmation through one-on-one gatherings with an adult mentor at the church. After completing the curriculum, students are interviewed by an elder before being Confirmed at church in late Spring.
