Bridgeport Rescue Mission
Please place items on the rack near the red doors. Items will be delivered to BRM to be handed out with the Thanksgiving giveaway. Monetary donations are also appreciated and will be sent directly to BRM. To make a monetary donation during worship, use the green mission envelopes, or you can donate on our website. The needs are great and our prayers and donations are greatly appreciated!
Our October Mission Focus is Neighbors in Need, (NIN) a special mission offering of the United Church of Christ that supports ministries of justice and compassion in the United States. This year, the Neighbors in Need “BEHOLD!” Campaign is focusing on economic justice. Through this offering we are reaching out and touching our neighbors with justice and compassion. Look for offering envelopes in the next few weeks to make your donation.
The Purple Pantry Box provides food for our neighbors!
It is located at the sidewalk in front of our church and is currently in need of the following items:Food items: Breakfast bars, cereal, cans/packages of tuna, tuna salad packs, peanuts in individual packaging, peanut butter crackers, protein bars, soups, canned pasta. Non-food items: tissues, individually wrapped toilet paper, small package of anti-bacterial wipes, toothbrush, travel-size toiletries: soap, toothpaste. Please leave items in the PURPLE bin at the front door. Non-Perishable food items only, please!
