WHY SUNNYSIDE VILLAGE COHOUSING?
If it's community you want, consider Sunnyside Village Cohousing. Some people call cohousing "community when you want it, privacy when you need it..." We're building a neighborhood of people who actually want to be neighborly, and want to know each other and spend time together.
We are planning to have community meals together three evenings a week (accommodating dietary needs such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten free etc). We are also discussing having a book group, a talent show, game night, holiday themed parties, and even a "get all dressed up for a formal dinner" special night. We gather now for potlucks and camp outs - we are getting to know each other because most all of us have been complete strangers until recently. We work together on the property clearing brush and working in our organic garden.
Is it hard for you to jump into and connect with a group of strangers? Try starting small with Happy Hour which is just one hour a week to slowly get to know us. Attend our Introductory meeting on Zoom to find out how to get connected with our community and see if it might be a good fit for you and your family.

We love hanging out at the property together. By this time next year we should be full-on construction so we're taking advantage of being able to enjoy the spaciousness of our land this summer and fall.

NATIONAL COHOUSING CONFERENCE
This year, for the first time since Covid hit, there was an in-person national cohousing conference, and we got to go!
It was in Madison Wisconsin. What fun! We learned a lot and met a lot of people. It is certainly true that you won't find a nicer bunch of people anywhere!
 
TIMELINE
The Sunnyside timeline: the current plan is to start construction late spring of 2023, and move in late 2024. Our current prices are below market rates for homes in our area, which means in the $600,000's If you would like more details we are happy to talk with you. Attending the Thursday Introductory Meeting on zoom is a great way to get connected. The link is in the beginning of this message. If you are unable to do that for whatever reason, let us know.
