CHECK OUT OUR TRAINING WEBPAGES | Please have a look at our range of training courses to support maintaining Standards in Public Life. As well as our regular Standards in Public life training for councillors (clerk specific training on 24 November only), there are five brand new training sessions in January 2023 to check out. These new sessions are all based around helping councils become better employers.
If you are a new councillor and haven’t seen our training webpages yet, please check out our New Councillor Induction training. Find out how, through a program of pre-session learning and a follow-up consolidation online training session, we will ease you into your new role. There will be helpful training interventions aimed at making sense of some of the topics, procedures and acronyms in council life.
The next online sessions are on 31 October, so there’s plenty of time for your clerk to book you on to the training and for you to complete the pre-session learning.
